Quick fixes for common issues with your Menehune.
💬 Messaging & Communication
⚠ My Menehune isn't responding
Symptom: You send a message but get no reply.
This usually means the service needs a moment or there's a connection hiccup.
✅ Fix
- Wait 2-3 minutes — your Menehune may be processing a complex task
- Send a simple message like
hey or are you there?
- If using WhatsApp/Telegram: check your internet connection
- If still no response after 5 minutes, email info@menehune.io
⚠ Responses are slow
Symptom: Menehune takes 30+ seconds to reply to simple questions.
Could be a heavy processing queue or a complex task running in the background.
✅ Fix
- Ask your Menehune:
what are you working on right now?
- If it's running a background task (research, report), wait for it to finish
- For urgent needs, say
priority: before your message
- If consistently slow, contact support — the service may need scaling
⚠ I changed my messaging app and now I can't reach my Menehune
Symptom: Switched from WhatsApp to Teams (or vice versa) and messages aren't going through.
Your Menehune may not be configured for the new channel yet.
✅ Fix
- Try reaching your Menehune on your original channel to confirm it's still working
- Ask your Menehune:
can you add [new channel] as a communication channel?
- If it can't do it directly, email info@menehune.io and we'll configure it
📧 Email
⚠ My Menehune isn't seeing new emails
Symptom: Emails arrive in your inbox but your Menehune doesn't mention or act on them.
Email monitoring may be paused, or the connection to your mailbox needs refreshing.
✅ Fix
- Ask your Menehune:
check my inbox now
- If it says it can't access email, the authentication token may have expired
- You may need to re-authorize access — your Menehune will walk you through it or contact support
⚠ Emails from my Menehune are going to junk/spam
Symptom: Your Menehune sends emails but recipients say they never got them (check their junk folder).
Email authentication (DKIM/SPF) may not be configured for the sending domain.
✅ Fix
- Ask the recipient to check their junk/spam folder
- Have them mark the email as "Not Junk" and add the sender to their contacts
- Contact us at info@menehune.io — we'll verify DKIM and SPF are properly configured
⚠ My Menehune sent an email I didn't approve
Symptom: An email was sent without your explicit approval.
Your Menehune may have autonomy settings that allow certain types of emails without approval.
✅ Fix
- Tell your Menehune:
always ask me before sending any emails
- Your Menehune will update its rules to require approval for all outgoing email
- Review what was sent:
show me the last email you sent
- If something was sent in error, contact us immediately
📅 Calendar
⚠ Calendar events are showing the wrong time
Symptom: Meeting times are off by a few hours.
Timezone mismatch between your Menehune's configuration and your calendar.
✅ Fix
- Tell your Menehune:
my timezone is [your timezone, e.g., Eastern, Pacific, Central]
- Ask it to confirm:
what timezone are you using for my calendar?
- If the issue persists, contact support — we'll verify the server timezone config
⚠ My Menehune can't see my calendar
Symptom: You ask for a briefing and it says it has no calendar access.
Calendar permissions may not have been granted during setup, or the token expired.
✅ Fix
- Ask your Menehune:
can you access my calendar?
- If it needs re-authorization, it will provide instructions
- For M365: you may need to re-consent in the Azure portal
- Contact support if you're unsure — we'll handle it
⚠ Morning briefing didn't arrive
Symptom: You normally get a morning briefing but today it didn't come.
The scheduled task may have been interrupted, or there was a temporary service issue.
✅ Fix
- Ask your Menehune:
send me today's briefing — it will generate one on demand
- Ask:
is my morning briefing still scheduled?
- If briefings stop for multiple days, contact support
🎯 Tasks & Accuracy
⚠ My Menehune gave me wrong information
Symptom: A number, date, or fact turned out to be incorrect.
AI assistants can sometimes make errors, especially with math, dates, or rapidly changing information.
✅ Fix
- Tell your Menehune:
that was incorrect — [correct info]
- It will note the correction and avoid the same mistake
- For critical numbers (financials, compliance dates), ask:
can you double-check that?
- Your Menehune is trained to disclose when it's uncertain — if it says "I'm not sure," take it seriously
⚠ My Menehune forgot something I told it
Symptom: You told it something important but it doesn't remember in the next conversation.
Memory writes can sometimes be missed during busy sessions.
✅ Fix
- Tell your Menehune explicitly:
remember this: [important info]
- For critical info, ask it to confirm:
what do you remember about [topic]?
- Important details are stored in persistent memory files that survive restarts
⚠ My Menehune is doing something I didn't ask for
Symptom: It's taking actions or sending things you didn't request.
Proactive features (email monitoring, scheduled tasks) may be triggering unexpectedly.
✅ Fix
- Tell your Menehune:
stop — what are you doing?
- It will immediately explain what it's working on
- To disable proactive actions:
only do things when I ask you to
- To adjust:
you can monitor email but always ask before responding
🔌 Integrations
⚠ Integration stopped working (QuickBooks, Square, etc.)
Symptom: Your Menehune can no longer pull data from a connected service.
OAuth tokens expire periodically and need to be refreshed.
✅ Fix
- Ask your Menehune:
can you still connect to [service name]?
- If the token expired, it will ask you to re-authorize (usually a one-click process)
- If re-auth doesn't work, contact support — the integration may need reconfiguring
⚠ I want to connect a new tool
Not an error — you just want to add a new integration.
New integrations require configuration on our end.
✅ How to
- Ask your Menehune:
can you connect to [tool name]?
- If it's a supported integration, it may be able to set it up directly
- If not, email info@menehune.io with the tool name and we'll add it
- Most new integrations are added within 24-48 hours
